You make up your own 6 digit passcode. All u have to do is go to the bluetooth screen and start the pairing process. Happened before, but eventually recognized existing phone. It actually is a little more temperamental than the Gen1, but after messing around for a bit, it functions flawlessly. I hope this helps anyone who has been struggling with this.
