The mechanic did say that in the end the Oil Pump will need to be changed anyways, regardless and then into go back to 5-W30, but instead do 10-W40 because again the car is old. I'll but out now, carry on. Install the filter hand finger tight, not too tight at all you can check later to make sure it seals. Hopefully, this thread helps others do their own oil changes.
